The partnership will see anti-malware capabilities leveraged by McAfee be integrated into Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) firewall technology offered by Zyxel.
SMEs will now receive the option of protecting their remotely operating workforces using malware detection, security performance monitoring and web filtering.

This collaboration between McAfee and Zyxel comes alongside the expansion of Zyxel’s ATP portfolio, which now includes the ZyWALL ATP100W and ATP700 products.
These firewall offerings run two modes, which can be combined as a hybrid:
- Express, which uses an AI-driven cloud database;
- Stream, which takes a granular approach using a signature-based database.

A recent study by Verizon found that over 40% of cyber attacks are aimed at small businesses.
