These projects will use Huawei’s SingleRAN solutions and Active Antenna System to expand and strengthen Vodafone’s mobile coverage. The SingleRAN solutions will allow Vodafone to support wireless communications services on a single network infrastructure, under multiple mobile communications standards (2G, 3G, and LTE), while Active Antenna System will simplify the antenna deployment and improve data throughput performance.
“Huawei is honoured to have been entrusted by Vodafone with this global project,” said Huawei rotating CEO, Eric Xu. “We look forward to working on this extension of our long-standing strategic relationship, which reflects the increasing demand for high-quality mobile broadband networks we are seeing globally as 4G grows in popularity.”
