The SENSE engine from Sensyne Health will leverage algorithms, known as SYNEs, in order to deliver real-time decision support across multiple medical conditions.
The system will produce an algorithm for providing more personalised care to Covid-19 patients at Chelsea & Westminister Hospital, called SYNE-COV, following Sensyne’s first agreement with Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
SYNE-COV will operate by analysing real-world evidence data collected in Chelsea & Westminster A&E. This data will be integrated into a dashboard which clinicians can use to augment decisions for three outcomes:
- Risk of ICU admission
- Need for mechanical ventilation
- In-hospital mortality

Algorithms for other conditions are currently being developed and to be announced, along with details of further roll-out across the UK. In addition, Sensyne intends to launch its SENSE system and associated SYNE algorithms in the United States towards the end of the current financial year.
