New Exasol appointment Jackson previously served as chief data and analytics officer at Carruthers and Jackson, where he will remain as a director, and will will help Exasol’s customers make the most of its high-performance in-memory analytics database to accelerate innovation.
In addition, Jackson, who was co-author of ‘The Chief Data Officer’s Playbook’ and ‘Data Driven Business Transformation’, will work closely with the product and R&D team to help shape Exasol’s roadmap.
A data evangelist, Jackson brings a wealth of experience in defining and implementing data strategies aligned to business needs, having previously held data leadership positions at The Pensions Regulator, Southern Water and Legal & General.
As Southern Water’s first ever chief data officer, Jackson led the utilities company’s data transformation, helping it become a data-driven organisation.
When serving as director of group data sciences at Legal and General, he was responsible for the group’s data strategy, as well as driving innovation and digital transformation globally. Jackson also served as chief data officer for the L&G Investment Management business, an Exasol customer.
