A senior police officer has been reprimanded after a dossier of documents detailing security plans for this year’s London Olympics was left on a train.

The dossier was discovered in Kent by a commuter, who handed the documents to The Sun newspaper.
The paper claims the dossier includes ‘restricted’ files detailing security plans for the various Olympic sites. It also contains the mobile phone numbers of senior police officers.
"An officer lost his bag containing a number of documents. He reported the loss," the Metropolitan Police told The Sun. "The Directorate of Professional Standards have been informed, as is routine."
This weekend, it was reported that eight Essex Police staff have resigned following an investigation into inappropriate access to the Police National Computer. Two officers have been charged for offences under the Data Protection Act.
