Major global sporting events are no stranger to cyber threats; and unfortunately for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, the more successful a team is, the more likely it is to be the target of eCrime actors, hacktivists, and nation states looking for intellectual property or notoriety.
This is probably why Mercedes-AMG Petronas have sought the expertise of CrowdStrike.
No pressure, but…
Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport has to deal will a lot of data – their cars produce about 500 GB of data during an average Grand Prix weekend with a further 5-10 TB produced per week at the factory.
Additionally, their operations are founded on a complex network of geographically dispersed workforce and facilities, opening up exposure to cyber attacks.
In a statement, CrowdStrike Falcon promised to address these challenges by enabling critical threat protection across thousands of endpoints – all via its native cloud architecture.
