New UK&I general manager Hurst‘s initial objectives include more aggressive growth in the enterprise business at Kaspersky, a stronger presence in the UK channel, and a solid strategy to recruit more partners and customers across the B2B portfolio.

The new executive appointment brings over 30 years’ experience in software to Kaspersky, having specialised in building teams to take new products to the EMEA market across several start-ups.

Most recently, Hurst served as senior sales manager for UK and APAC at CoreView, and previously built the EMEA operation of Cloudistics, a private cloud platform backed by Bain Capital Ventures.

In 2006, Hurst joined Veritas/Symantec via an acquisition, and spent 12 years running several incubation businesses, including the xSP business, as well as overseeing the EMEA Security Practice, driving emerging products with a team of specialists.
