The Information System Security Certification Consortium ((ISC)2) has announced the appointment of Jon France as its new CISO
New (ISC)2 CISO France will report directly to CEO Clar Rosso, and will be responsible for leading all cyber security operations while serving as an advocate for security best practices worldwide.
Additionally, France will lead security and risk management strategies for the organisation, provide regular risk assessments and strategic insights to senior management and the Board of Directors.
He will also partner with stakeholders ensure ingraining of security in all strategy aspects.
France brings over 25 years’ experience in building and leading diverse tech and security teams to the non-profit cyber security association, having most recently served as head of industry security at GSMA.
At mobile communications organisation GSMA, France led the fraud and security function for the global mobile industry, while supporting risk management and serving as a board advisor.
Prior to this, the new appointment held the positions of both deputy IT director and business continuity manager at LexisNexis, where he worked for over 11 years.
