New EMEA GM Assis has previously held a number of executive positions during her 25 years with IBM, including general manager for the Latin America region, during which she drove sustained growth, and increased market share.
Assis has also held multiple IBM strategic business positions in the United States, as well as holding the role of vice-president of software sales in China.
Additionally, Assis, who was recognised as “Personality of the Year – Digital Transformation” by the Institute of Learning & Performance in 2018, is a board member at Junior Achievement Americas, dedicated to inspiring and preparing young students to become entrepreneurs.
Other accolades include being recognised by Forbes as one of the Best Brazilian CEOs in 2019, and amongst the top 100 executives with best reputation in Brazil, according to MERCO (2021).
