Helen Kelisky appointed new Google Cloud managing director for UKI

Google Cloud has announced the appointment of Helen Kelisky as its new managing director for UK and Ireland

The new appointment will be responsible for leading Google Cloud’s business across the UKI region, as well as leading sales strategy and continued development of its go-to-market sales operations.

Kelisky will focus on supporting growth and scale of Google Cloud customers across various industries, building on the momentum of 2021, which saw an array of new customer wins.

Bringing over 30 years’ tech sales leadership experience, Kelisky joins from Opentext, where she served as vice-president of B2B EMEA sales.

Prior to this, she held the role of senior vice-president of cloud sales at Salesforce, establishing and leading the cloud sales organisation for UKI, and setting the strategy to ensure sustained double digit growth.

Previously still, Kelisky spent over seven years in vice-president positions at IBM, heading up cloud business operations in UKI, leading on digital transformation and the company’s strategy to ‘think and act cloud first’.

A champion for diversity, equity and inclusion, Kelisky also serves on the board of directors for Women in Telecoms and Technology (WiTT), a non-profit networking group focused on education and enhancing women’s careers.
