Barclays CIO to step down

The chief information officer of Barclays Bank’s retail division is to resign, the bank revealed yesterday.

Bob Rickert, CIO of Barclays’ global retail and commercial banking arm, intends to "pursue other opportunities".

Rickert began his career working for IBM, and was formerly in charge of IT at US bank Keycorp.
