Global IT services firm Atos has appointed Adrian Gregory as the new CEO for its UK and Ireland region, shifting Ursula Morgenstern to head up its global consulting and systems integration function.
Gregory, who joined Atos in 2007, is promoted from his position of senior VP for public sector, health and BBC, where he was responsible for all aspects of client business and future strategy.
Germany-born Morgenstern joined Atos in 2002 through the acquisition of KPMG Consulting, and was appointed CEO in January 2012 following a stint as UK and Ireland COO.

The company’s India, Middle East and Africa chief, Francis Meston, has also been given an additional role as group digital transformation officer, while Chad Harris takes charge of North American operations.
Harris only joined the company recently through the £618m acquisition of the IT outsourcing operations at Xerox, where he was executive VP for global IT services.
The acquisition, which was completed in January, saw Atos add £960m to its £5.5bn turnover and boost its US credentials, while 9,600 Xerox employees took its total staff count over 100,000.
