Job opportunities for IT executives are in decline.
The number of high-level IT vacancies has fallen 3% since November 2008, a drop only exceeded in the consulting sector (8%), according to the a report from recruitment site Experteer.co.uk.
Not all job sectors have been adversely affected by the credit crunch. The relative demand for executives in the public and medical sectors rose 9% and 5% respectively.
Meanwhile, demand for IT developers on the rise. The number of developer vacancies rose by 2% in the last 3 months, according to ITjobswatch.co.uk. The average developer salary, however, has declined 4.3% compared with the same period last year.
