The Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA) is expanding its Middle East and Africa (MEA) office in Dubai by appointing Stephen Millington as partner
New executive appointment Millington will bring 25 years’ professional services experience to the FRA‘s recently launched Dubai office.
The hire comes as the FRA looks to solidify its presence in the Dubai market, where the company established roots in January, before appointing Stuart Ells as its first ever CEO in May.
Millington previously established and grew forensic practices in the Middle East over the course of 15 years, for multinational firms Alvarez & Marsal and Kroll.
Also earlier in his career, Millington was partner at KordaMentha, where he led the Melbourne forensic practice.
Why AI is critical to seeing the real world behind financial services data
“I’m thrilled to join FRA’s Dubai office, and have the opportunity to play a leading part in cementing FRA’s presence in the region,” said new FRA partner, Millington.
“Over fifteen years of working in the Middle East, I’ve seen first-hand the huge demand for anti-money laundering (AML) and investigative services, and I look forward to supporting the team in meeting that demand and establishing ourselves as the go-to firm in the region.”
Stuart Ells, CEO of Forensic Risk Alliance, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to our Dubai office, which serves as a key servicing hub for high-value litigation, financial crime investigations and forensic work across the Middle East.
“This market is of great strategic value to the international growth of FRA as we expand our core service offerings and develop new opportunities to support our broad portfolio of international investigatory work.”
The FRA in Dubai
Having set up shop in Dubai in January, to deliver forensic accounting, data analytics and eDiscovery consulting to MEA businesses, the FRA aims to drive value from one of the world’s leading financial centres.
The organisation holds a track record of being engaged on several high-profile cases over the past 20+ years, and is committed to investing in the region, bringing global experts – including native Arabic speakers – in a landscape of increasingly complex and coordinated regulation.
