Given the week that’s in it, love is in the air. With Valentine’s Day dominating the chat, it’s not so surprising if you’re having a think about how much you do (or don’t) love your job.
If you’re answering in the negative, you are not alone. According to Mental Health UK, 91% of British adults experienced high or extreme levels of pressure or stress at some point in the past year, with 24% unable to manage the stress and pressure of the workplace.
Another recent study identified that 51% of UK workers plan actively to look for new employment this year. Money is the biggest motivator, with 42% of those surveyed saying this is their primary reason for looking for a new job.
If you’re looking for a new job, the jobs market is still pitched in favour of workers, according to Indeed’s 2024 UK Jobs & Hiring Trends Report. It says that the UK labour market continues to show resilience, and that candidates still have leverage over pay and conditions.
So, if you’d like to fall in love with work all over again, it’s a good time to start a fresh job hunt. The Information Age job board is a great place to start, containing thousands of open roles all across the UK, including the five below.
